Used:
- 1/8" x 6" Black Steel Nipple Pipe: https://amzn.to/2XtUkkJ
- 1/8" x 5" Black Steel Nipple Pipe + 1/8" x 3" Black Steel Nipple pipe + 1/8" Coupling (or use one 1/8" x 8" Black Steel Nipple Pipe): https://amzn.to/2EEHtVp
- 1/8" Coupling: https://amzn.to/2UdQOZS
- 1/8" 45 degree Elbow: https://amzn.to/2EG3gfD
- Brass Hex Nipple + 2 washers & Brass Cap (though we would have used a 1/8" Black Steel Cap and 1/8" Close Nipple if we had ordered ahead): https://amzn.to/2VBQCEb , https://amzn.to/2VtTbrJ
- 1/2" Medium Density Fiberboard, cut to 13 3/4" x 18 1/2": https://www.homedepot.com/p/1-2-in-2-ft-x-2-ft-Medium-Density-Fiber-Board-1508107/205881911

NOTE: We used 1/8" for the above pipes because we had them on hand, but that is usually not as easy to find at hardware stores. My advice is to go into your local hardware store in advance to see what they have (1/4" or 1/8") and plan the structure accordingly.

Another alternative would be to use one long 3/8" threaded rod (cut to about 14" long, with two corresponding washers/nuts): https://amzn.to/2XzUYgT

Cake used:
- 1 layer cake baked in an 11 x 15" pan, 2" deep: https://amzn.to/2VtB98T
- 1 layer cake baked in an 8" round pan, 3" deep: https://amzn.to/2EHoxFG
